NCEA's Mission Statement is the Member Benefit!

By defining standards of practice through certification and continuing education accreditation in order to represent and advocate for the esthetic profession.

The NCEA executive offices are open Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm est. to answer questions and calls from not only NCEA members, but State Regulatory Board Administrators and Board Members, Attorneys defending estheticians (we provide Expert Witnesses), insurance companies and legislators need answers to questions about esthetics. Scope of practice, what does the NCEA Certified credential mean? How can we implement the Commission on Accreditation into our state requirements for continuing education? Can our state utilize the NCEA Code of Ethics? What is the standard of care for this procedure and how can I best represent my cllent?

Your membership dues provide the necessary income to fund the NCEA management team–that in turn–advocates for the esthetic profession!

The NCEA Certified Benefits Directory is for NCEA Certified professionals that have successfully completed the NCEA Certification Program.  These individuals have met the highest standards set for the skin care industry by exhibiting academic knowledge of the NCEA 1200 Hour Esthetician Job Tasks and scoring a passing grade on the National Examination.

The directory lists corporate and association discount offerings extended to NCEA Certified Professionals. These benefits include discounts on classes, products, equipment, association memberships, books and journals.

NCEA Certified Professionals are required to present their NCEA Certified Certificate and government issued photo ID.  NCEA Certified professionals requesting discounts by telephone may be required to fax documentation to the provider.

4. Become a Continuing Education Provider Learn more
     Receive membership discount  for approving continuing education programs that are needed by estheticians for recertification or relicensure.

The NCEA Commission on Accreditation (COA) was formed to facilitate and supervise the continuing education requirements of the skin care professional for recertification and/or relicensure.

5. Become an Approved Training Facility/Testing Center  Learn more

An Approved Training Facility (ATF) / Testing Center has met NCEA ATF standards to provide an interactive learning environment for certification candidates. ATFs offer the certification prep classes ongoing and additional post-graduate curriculums may be available. Also, some ATFs may provide Records Verification and on-site testing.

NCEA Certified is the professional status awarded to a skin care professional that has met the competency standards as set-forth by NCEA's 1200 Hour Esthetician Job Task Analysis. It represents the highest skin care credential available in the United States and adherence to the code of ethics of the profession. Contact NCEA for more details - Discounts of 40% per 6 employees.

8. Gerson Award for Esthetic Teachers - $500 to a deserving Esthetic Teacher that demonstrates excellence in providing esthetic education.

In 1977 Joel Gerson decided to write the textbook that would provide the curriculum materials, including "step-by-step" illustrations needed by teachers and students. The most important undertaking of his professional career, was writing the "Standard Textbook for Professional Estheticians", published by Milady. Creation of this textbook also paved the way for state regulatory boards and regulation of estheticians through licensure, and subsequently, development of the NCEA Certified credential.
